Are your lashes thinning over time? Millions of women are in on the Latisse secret. Discover the popular Toronto Latisse secret today and start growing lashes that are longer, fuller and darker. You won't be disappointed.

What is Latisse?

Hypotrichosis is a medical term that is used when you don't have enough eyelashes. Luckily we have Latisse as our solution. Latisse is the only prescription eyelash product approved in Canada to grow your natural eyelashes longer, fuller and darker. Although it requires a prescription, it can be applied by the patient without the doctor and it never requires any surgical procedure.

Who is a candidate for Latisse?

If you are disappointed with the thickness, shape, length, or darkness of your eyelashes and you live in the Toronto area, Latisse may be the solution for you. Simply book a consultation with us at the Canadian Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Centre to discuss your options.

Why Latisse?

Unlike synthetic solutions, eyelashes that have been enhanced by Latisse remain completely natural, thus resulting in a more natural aesthetic for the eyes and face of the patient.

What if I discontinue the use of Latisse?

If you discontinue the use of Latisse for whatever reason, your eyelashes will gradually return to the state they were in before you started using it.

Adverse reactions from Latisse

Latisse is a prostaglandin analog that may cause side effects in select patients and can have adverse reactions when used simultaneously with certain products.

The most common adverse reaction occurs when Latisse is used concurrently with any IOP-lower prostaglandin analog in ocular hypertensive patients. This commonly causes permanent changes in iris pigmentation.

Possible side effects from Latisse

Some side effects identified in patients using Latisse are:

  • Unexpected hair growth on portions of the skin that Latisse regularly touches
  • A permanent increase in the brown pigmentation of the colored portion of the eye
  • Eye pruritus, commonly known as itchy eye
  • Conjunctival hyperemia which is characterized by redness in the white of the eye
  • Skin hyperpigmentation on the eyelid, which is a darkening of the eyelid skin and is usually reversible

Re-Opening June 8th Update

As a valued member of the Canadian Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Centre, we want to personally update you on steps our practice has taken to protect you and your health in light of the COVID-19 situation.

As it has always been, the safety and health of our patients and staff members remain our highest priority. We want to thank you for your support and the confidence you have in our practice. In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the guidelines from the Ministry of Health and have added the following extra measures to protect our patients:

  1. A COVID-19 screening questionnaire must be completed prior to your appointment.
  2. Upon arrival for your appointment, you will be asked to check-in while in your car and one of our staff member will come and meet you at the door.
  3. Patients must arrive wearing their own face masks, and continue to wear them in office until taken into the exam room, and sanitize their hands upon arrival.
  4. We have spaced out the waiting room area and decreased our daily patient volume to reduce the likelihood of crowding.
  5. We have installed plastic barriers at the front desk for the safety of our staff and patients.
  6. Social distancing is seen as the most effective way of slowing the spread of the virus causing COVID-19. Patients should avoid close contact, minimize interaction, and put distance between themselves and other patients within the office.
  7. We will continue to provide virtual consultation options to patients who would like to see our specialists virtually.
